Winter Warmers

January is upon us and Christmas is all packed away.
These chilly winter months leave us dreaming of snuggling up with loved ones under blush blankets by roaring log fires.
It's the perfect time of year to dedicate making our homes cosy, warm and atmospheric.

Suggested by Arhaus (https://www.arhaus.com/) I have created a little post sharing ideas on how to create that perfect winter warm deco in our homes for the cold months ahead.
You might love to layer throws, plump up your cushions or curl up on a sheepskin rug. You might dream of deep colours and low lighting or you might just  prefer the simple details.
On the blog today I have gathered some stunning images to get you inspired for the season ahead.

Rustic wood and exposed brick.  Always a winter winner.

Layers of faux fur and woolly blankets on a hammock. The ultimate relaxation for sure.

Simple yet striking Scandi style.

Perfect bared back balance.

It's all about the fireplace.

Heavenly hallway.

Simple candle placed in a wooden bowl sets the scene for a wintery dinner table.

Bring the outside in with fresh, lush foliage.
Simple yet so effective.

Dark tones mixed with metal makes a contemporary industrial set.

Who wouldn't want to climb into this bed.
Tones of aubergine and grey. Heavenly.

It's all about drama and glamour in this bohemian palace.

And for the light lovers, group delicate pendants together for that moody low lighting on dark nights.

Be bang on trend with this sumptuous Corso collection from Arhaus.
Luxurious combination of velvet and brass.

It's all about the design, texture and styling.
Available at Arhaus.

Update your accessories.

Be playful with styling.

Treat yourself.

Top picks from Arhaus

Hope you have been inspired by the story and are ready for the new season!

Hygge

" The Soup Of Everyday Habits"
description by Meik Wiking, author of The Little Book of Hygge.

Hygge, this Danish phenomenon seems to be the talk of the town at current, so much so, that I also attended a talk by the Hygge Master Meik Wiking  himself in association with Heal's and Georg Jensen at Heal's Store, Tottenham Court Road, London.

The Little Book Of Hygge.

Hygge, still a strange concept for many, yet it has been rather a lifestyle, part of every day, to many if not all Scandinavians.

Hygge is about happiness and quality of life.
It's about creating atmosphere, cosiness, togetherness, home and family. Good conversation, food and time out from the ever changing demands of busy working world.

How to create the perfect Hyggelig home?

Candles, lots of them and low light is the perfect start.
These create your mellow relaxed scene.

Layers and texture.
Mix and match. Hygge is about informal settings and warmth.

Heal's have prepared a perfect Hyggelig corner for some ideas if you were to need them.
