Store Your Jewels

As styling is a big part of my job, I try and make everyday accessories part of the bigger picture.
Here are some images and ideas on how to display and store your jewellery and feature them in your interiors.

Draping your necklaces on a mannequin is a great way to showcase them and makes them easily accessible when in a hurry. Great way to jazz up your decor too.

Add a touch of glamour to your dressing table by creating a focal point with mirrored accessories.
Beautiful trinket boxes look great and work well in treasuring those delicate rings and earrings.

Here I decided to style the image by filling a timeless Maribowl by Iittala with some of my pearls.
Interesting vases work well too in showing off your gorgeous pieces.

My antelope head sits right above my dressing table and I find it a great way to store and display some of my favourite everyday pieces.

I got hold of this beautiful jewellery tree from West Elm.

Happy styling!

Masculine Interiors

As The London Mens Collections drew to an end last week, I thought it would be great to share some images and words of wisdom on masculine interiors.

Richard James - London Mens Collection 2014

Masculine spaces are usually dark, dramatic with a touch of industrial feel to them. Battered Chesterfields and wingback chairs, subtle lightning and exposed brick are all key elements to creating that edge to a manly space.

I love mixing different textures in all concepts that I work on, but with dark, dramatic interiors I find it a must as dark colours can look lifeless and dreary without a layering of materials and fixtures.

Mix of leather, wool and velvet work in harmony and it's always nice to add some interest with cool patterns either in accessories, art or wallpaper.

Source unusual objects to display and add vintage pieces to complete the look.

Minimal and contemporary monochromatic palette works wonders for this small work station.
Get creative and think "out of the box" when it comes to arranging and storing your office essentials.
Loving the use of hangers for magazines, practical yet eye catching.

Manly and moody feel created in this space by mixing contemporary clean lines with vintage style seating and desk accessories. Oversized, low hanging black pendants create drama and mystery to this corner.

This contemporary office space was cleverly designed using available "dead space"underneath a staircase. The space is filled with natural light by surrounding double heightened glass gallery and,  keeping the deco white and contemporary with carefully chosen essential pieces, it makes this a great airy studio.

Cool grey hues mixed with gold give this period style library a calming and luxurious feel.

This amazing window display by Hermes caught my eye the other day, heading back to London from Zurich.

A range of soft pastel skis accessorised with gorgeous costume jewellery.

So very on trend for 2014!
